Wendy will be teaching some great Scottish melodies and a few songs.

We will look at slow airs and their decoration, fast dance tunes with rhythmic accompaniments, plus songs in Gaelic and Scots, all with their background information and stories.
We will be looking at Strathspey rhythm which is particular to Scottish traditional music and the difference in Gaelic culture between Ceol mor ('big music') i.e. pibroch and Ceol beag ('small music') i.e. dance tunes.

Wendy will teach by ear for those who want to try the traditional way but written music is always there to help!
